This course has been many years in the making and has helped hundreds and hundreds of registrars get their exams. Why is it so successful? From the feedback we get and from our own intentions, the reasons are:
Each week you get to WATCH, READ, SOLVE and WRITE as part of your preparation.
WATCH the video lectures provided. They are high level discussions of important topics in emergency medicine.
READ the documents, and recommended reading, which complement the topics.
SOLVE the provided problems. They are designed to get you thinking about topic of the week to help consolidate your learning.
WRITE the requested homework. Writing questions on a topic is a great way to both challenge your own knowledge and put you inside the mind of an examiner. Try writing questions and you will see how difficult it is, and how it pushes you into a particular direction. In this way you will understand why some questions are suited as MCQs and some as SAQs. This cannot be underestimated as a means of preparing for the exam.
COMMUNITY: We have set up a facebook page for the WRITTEN and OSCE exam. Just go to @fellowshipexamcourse and like us and participate. We also have a twitter account @fellowshipexam. This is so the whole group can participate. We will make announcements on twitter and also sometimes push out questions.
You will have WEBINARS to teach you regularly and answer your concerns. You will have 'ROADBLOCK' exams on a regular basis to test and push you further. You will get hundreds and hundreds of questions and you will have detailed and realistic feedback.
